*** Microsoft Delays SharePoint 2013 MCSD Retirement*** 

In February, Vlad Catrinescu wrote a blog post that touched many SharePoint Developers announcing that Microsoft is retiring SharePoint 2013 MCSD developer exams as soon as September 30th, 2016. Microsoft recently did an unannounced update to delay that date.

*** Disabling Office 365 Planner Using PowerShell*** 

Office 365 Planner is now rolling out to your tenant.  Microsoft announced this week that Planner is ready for ShowTime. As this is a product early in its life cycle, Microsoft is still looking for feedback through the Planner UserVoice site. Over the next several weeks, Planner will roll out to all eligible Office 365 customers worldwide. June 6th marks the general availability of Microsoft Planner. Over the next several weeks, Planner will roll out to all eligible Office 365 customers worldwide. This includes Office 365 Enterprise E1–E5, Business Essentials, Premium and Education subscription plans. Learn more about Planner here

*** xSharePoint is now SharePointDsc – what you need to know!***

For just over 12 months now Microsoft has been working hard to grow the xSharePoint DSC module to let SharePoint 2013 and 2016 administrators use PowerShell Desired State Configuration to manage their SharePoint deployments. Microsot has  come a long way in the last year, and now with the help of Brian Farnhill’s core team they  are making an important transition. Read more here:
