Microsoft Learning is releasing a new certification entitled MCSD: Azure Solutions Architect

Fresh from the Ignite Conference, SharePoint-Community.Net Rep, Matthew J Bailey, just asked me to make the community aware of this awesome news :

Effective immediately, Microsoft Learning is releasing a new certification entitled MCSD: Azure Solutions Architect.

This decision is the result of several months of discussions with both internal and external stakeholders, and the added desire to take advantage of the unique opportunity that Ignite provides to socialize the latest developments in training and validation.

This new MCSD is earned by passing all three existing Azure exams: 532, 533, and 534.  As an MCSD certification, this credential carries a two-year recertification requirement.

The decision to align this credential with MCSD, rather than MCSE, is due to the fact that this set of exams primarily validates development and DevOps skills.

A new MCSD certification page will be available on the //Learning web site within the next week.  For the Ignite conference, a special build of the Training and Certification app that reflects the new cert path is being used at the certification booth 

All individuals who have passed the three exams since their launch will be awarded this new certification.
